What are the benefits of clipping your horse?

Horse clipping involves shaving the majority of your horses coat off during the cooler months. Some horses do require clipping during warmer months to manage health conditions such as Cushings, often advised by vets. While there are many benefits of clipping horses, there are also down sides worth considering before committing to have your horse clipped. This post outlines some of the advantages and disadvantages of clipping as noted from experience working with clients. Breeding Program Update

We are excited to say Miss R is expecting her second foal in 2017 to Fiji R!  (Left: Stallion Fiji R )  Rowe will be due in September thanks to the wonderful Merrilyn Fitzgerald from Pacific Vet Care (aka AI genius!!!) Rhys also worked tirelessly to organise our crush being moved from outdoors to the stable block for a more ideal environment while inseminating and scanning to check Rowe's progress during the early weeks of her pregnancy. Due to the winds ad raining weather on the North Coast during breeding season this approach worked best to ensure the big girl was safe and comfortable during the whole process.  We also managed to secure a Bellissimo M service for the 2017 season at the...

2016/17 Competition update

What a incredibly busy 6 months it has been!  Kirrang Impirielle (Owned by Grande Crest Welsh Cobs) performed for numerous firsts and champions in ridden and led at Pony of the Year and the National Australian Pony Stud Book Show seeing "Elle" qualified and accepted for the 2018 Sydney Royal Show... HOORAY! Got to love this pony! Northern Nestor (Owned by Jennifer Edwards) and Chelsea competed from Elementary to Official Advanced at Northern NSW. Nestor also made a rare hacking visit to perform exceptionally well in spite of his preference to sand dance over show strut ;) As always, he has been a delight and honour to have onboard.  In this time Chelsea has also gained her EA Level 1 Dressage Riding Certificate and Rhys...
